Awe. Some. JYJ’s Music Essay Their Rooms, which features personal thoughts about what’s on their minds, is #1 at Amazon Japan, as of 1:48AM EST.
The Music Essay has been doing outstandingly well given the fact that JYJ has been blocked from promoting it on any entertainment shows because of the wretched cowardice (my opinion) of the entertainment leg of the business structure in Korea.
Of the book, Wisdom House says that not since the Harry Potter series have they seen something dominate the sales like the pre-order for Their Rooms has. Pre-orders can be reserved now, but shipping will start on Jan 17, according to some sites.
Despite their difficulties with their former agency, the album is outperforming all expectations. However, many fans and observers are outright questioning how its possible for JYJ not to be allowed to appear on any entertainment programs given the popularity of their latest works.
