JYJ Opens Up About Life after Breaking away from SM

jyj_012
JYJ sat down to answer some very difficult questions about their current frame of mind given that they’re still in the midst of the lawsuit against SM Entertainment.

Although these three young men are cutting their own path to their own freedom, its still difficult for them because they obviously miss the two members who decided not to sue SM for unfair treatment.  They have even dreamed of the other two members at the same time.

The guys talked about not being able to hold domestic activities. Fans have speculated that JYJ are purposely being kept from performing because broadcasters are scared of getting on SM’s bad side.  Despite the broadcasters’ cowardice, reports say that there is still a flood of requests from Korean fans who want to see JYJ be allowed to perform on various programs. 101201 Sungkyunkwan Scandal Interview Yoochun Cut

Q1. Yoochun-kun also acted in Japan, therefore, is there any difference between acting in Korea or Japan? Also, in the future, do you want to continue the performing arts life or a keen singer’s activities?

A: How to say… I have never ventured the acting field before, so it’s hard for me to tell the difference between the two. Regarding acting, I have a lot of trouble and so as well as a singer’s activities. But since this kind of work was given to me, I will try to do my best to do well. This kind of mindset during this period of time acting in “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” allows me to do my best filming holding on to the thought of giving a good performance for everyone.

Q2. To Yoochun-kun, what is exercise? Is is the same as the relationship between water and oil?

A: I don’t hate exercising. Now I want to do my best to try maintaining my face and my physique. Hahaha…

Announcer:
You’ve finally made your debut in America. How do you feel right now?

Jaejoong: For me, should I say it’s somewhat similar to when we debuted in Japan? We’re introducing our own music through new words, to a new world, so I’m feeling really nervous.

Junsu: Although I’m really nervous about our American debut, but I’m even more nervous over speaking Japanese (for the first time) in such a long time.

Announcer: But your Japanese is really good… Your (debut) album… Although I think it must be great, how do you feel about the album?

Yoochun: My first thought was that I must work hard for this.

Jaejoong: I want to know as soon as possible what everyone feels as they listen to our songs.

Yoochun: Recently for me… it’s really painful but, I’ve been craving Japan’s tonkatsu ramen. (Jaesu laugh) It’s really painful…

Vmagazine: East Meets Kanye West and rocks out in NYC

Not to be dramatic here, but mega-Kpop-group JYJ’s first U.S. showcase in NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday night was probably one of the craziest things I have ever seen. The concert was slated to start at 8pm, but when I arrived at the New Yorker Hotel at 1pm for my interview with the artists, I was greeted with the sight of approximately four thousand fans jam-packed into lines that stretched for over two blocks at 35th and Eighth.

Passing cars slowed to see what the fuss was about, as anxious police and security guards were having a field day trying to shepherd amazed passers-by out of the way. JYJ, a three-member male group from South Korea, are mega stars internationally (as evidenced by the Guiness Book of Records entries in 2008 and 2009 for World’s Largest Official Fan Club), but this month marks their first debut in the United States.

Changmin arrived in Japan on the rainy night. Although this time he had tight schedule and only managed to spend two days and one night in Japan, but because it was the first time to do photo shooting in a comfortable old Japanese-style house with good ventilation, so Changmin’s stress expression was slowly relieved.

‘This is my first time to be photographed in this old Japanese style house, it does made people feel comfortable. It has been a long time since my last time to spend time at home properly. I hope that one day, I can decorate the room with simple style and the style that suits me.’

Especially these past six months, because of his first challenge in acting, he almost had no leisure time. He had to rush between Seoul and Jeju Island to film his drama series, and had been very busy everyday. Either it was the recitation of lines, or living together with co-actors and staff, they were fresh experiences for Changmin.
