The City of Seoul in South Korea had to issue an apology to fans of JYJ because of the “similarities” of their ad campaigns to the ads paid for by fans to promote JYJ.
Fans complained that the wording, and even the font type, of Seoul’s advertisement banners were ripped from their ads for JYJ.
In their statement, the City of Seoul said, “…Although this campaign has no relation with JYJ, it is saddening that we have caused confusion for their fans. Respecting their wishes, we will plan to replace the font for the selected banners.”
