Warner Music Korea is reporting outstanding pre-order sales of the new JYJ album, The Beginning. There were so many preorders that it caused a slight delay in the release of the album.

99,999 limited edition versions, 300,000 special edition versions and 220,000 regular edition versions of their album were pre-ordered by fans all over the world. That’s over 520,000 albums in pre-orders alone.

The general version of the album was released on the 13th with the special edition versions set to go out on Oct 18th.

According to translated reports, Warner Music said, “JYJ who has 520,000 copies just in pre-orders will give the boost that the sluggish music market needs.”

These three young men didn’t ask to be in this current situation, however.  They were part of a quintet called DBSK (TVXQ or Tohoshinki) and were forced into such a position by circumstances.  Regardless, now we see why their former Korean management company filed to try to stop the sale of the album.  The pre-order sales are really outstanding for a debut album: first time in English, first time as 3 members, and first time in the Worldwide market.

The fans are going crazy over the new music.  Don’t forget how important it is to BUY THE PHYSICAL CD.  Its like voting for them to show your support.

You’ll most likely hear the songs “Empty” and, as well as a soulful ballad called “Still in Love”. And from the previews I’ve heard, “Be the One” is a total club banger. The song ‘Ayy Girl” as a live performance is awesome, as witnessed by the fancams.

In addition, fans don’t seem to care about the as yet slightly imperfect english pronunciation. They’re not American and fans understand this. Everybody has to start somewhere and, given their track record, its asinine to underestimate these guys because they will only improve.
