JaeChunSu Signatures Were Forged on the Shenzhen Contract; Is SM in More Trouble?

The representative for TVXQ’s Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun revealed that the 3 members’ signatures were forged on the ShenZhen contract, according to translated reports.

Those reports also say the 3 members never signed the contract themselves to participate in the ShenZhen concert, which was set up by SM after the three members had already filed a lawsuit against the company.

This could be the very reason why SM refused to show them the Shenzhen contract like their attorney had requested earlier this month.

Supposedly, Korean and Chinese fans raised questions about the legitimacy of the signatures on the document which is supposed to show an artist’s intention of performing at the concert.

Fans got to see this document because it was shown at the location where tickets were sold in order to prove the three would attend. But the fans have sharp eyes and a deep distrust for SM.

Thus, when fans spotted the suspicious signatures, they immediately began to raise questions about the validity of the documents.

Attorney Lim Sang Hyuk, who represents the three members, had this to say:

“Setting aside the validity of the Shenzhen concert contract, this act was an action that brought misunderstanding to the fans. We are planning to take counteractions against this action officially.”

Lim also released a handwritten document of a “Mr. A” who claims he’s the one that signed the Shenzhen document instead of Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu.

As expected, the lawyer has requested an investigation of this situation. From the translated report:

Lawyer Lim stated, “On the 19th, we requested for a judgment by an expert on the signatures on this note of confirmation and the members’ original signatures. Even just by seeing it, you can tell that there is quite a big difference.”

He also said, “When this lawsuit was initiated, the three members promised to perform all preassigned activities. However, the Shenzhen concert was not one of them. The members found out about the Shenzhen concert during the procedures of the lawsuit.”

Many suspected that SM had something to hide by refusing to show the three members and their attorney the Shenzhen contract.  Confirming what we and others suspected, SM didn’t want to reveal the problem with the signatures.

More from the translated report:

He also said, “Even the fans knew that there was a problem with the signatures on the note of confirmation. Therefore, we asked SM to show us the details of the Shenzhen concert contract but SM did not comply.”

According to an unnamed “representative of Korean music industry”, it’s common practice for a representative to sign documents in the singer’s name after telling the singers of the schedule.

One problem with this is that the three members are in a contentious disagreement with SM, so it’s absolutely unacceptable for SM to sign ANYTHING at all on behalf of the three members WHILE they’re being sued by those same three members.

The second problem is there is no verification that the member agreed to do anything if someone from the agency’s side is the one signing official documents without that artist’s knowledge.

The three members are in a major dispute with SM, SM agrees for TVXQ to perform at a concert in Shenzhen, SM claims it was the three member’s fault for the cancellation of the concert, and refuses to show those members and their attorney the Shenzhen contract.

Will SM be officially accused of fraud? I don’t know. But at the very least, it’s incredibly suspicious in my opinion.
